Releases outside of Japan have yet to be announced. Xtreme Legends will, like 3Z, arrive on January 27. Aside from that, info is currently sparse. The new version will have a "Mix Joy" feature which will let players of the original share data and modes between the two games. Wii will be getting Samurai Warriors 3 Xtreme Legends. DW7 Dynasty Warriors 7, DW6 Dynasty Warriors 6 and so on - SW3: XL Samurai Warriors 3: Xtreme Legends or Sengoku Musou 3Z, since it was released in Japan only -> Finally, DW7 DLC weapons that appear as big-stars in this game come from Weapon Rank Pack 1, and DW7 DLC 'joke' weapons come from Weapon Rank Pack 2. The second new Samurai Warriors game is another version of Samurai Warriors 3. Samurai Warriors 3Z is due for Japanese release on January 27.

In its place, PS3 players can look forward to a new network ranking compatible challenge mode and a "Soushi Enbu" mode where you face off against a series of randomly generated scenarios. The PS3 version will be missing Wii's "Nazo no Mura Samejou" mode, which was based off a classic Nintendo published Famicom Disc game (Shigeru Miyamoto actually appeared at the game's press conference back in 2009 to announce the mode). Seven generals that didn't have a scenario in the original are also getting their own scenario here. But the character and stage design is on point and combat is pretty much the same as SW2. New playable characters include Masanori Fukushima, Zen Ayago and Gracia. Id probably say its the worst Samurai Warriors game from a replayability standing. Titled Samurai Warriors 3Z, the new version adds HD visuals and a number of additional features. PlayStation 3 owners are getting the main attraction, an updated version of Wii's Samurai Warriors 3.
